There are times when designers are pretty overwhelmed by the huge collection of fonts available on the Internet. Therefore, we keep an eye for fresh high-quality free fonts every now and again, and present them to you in a brief overview. We understand that due to the enormous font choices available, it becomes very difficult for you to sort and use appropriate fonts in your projects. We also believe that you should invest more time understanding your project brief rather than spending time sorting out a desirable palette for your canvas. That’s why we’re glad to present Titlium, Amputa Bangiz, Chunk, Comfortaa and few other high-quality free fonts, in this selection. Chunk Open Source Typeface
Chunk is an extremely-bold slab serif font mainly utilized for display. The lettering is unreserved but still refined for contemporary use. The font is reminiscent of newspaper headlines, broadsides and old American Western woodcuts.
Titilium
A very legible typeface that perfectly fits to corporate identity designs, headlines of corporate web sites and magazines. It is available in various title versions, weights, text versions, full-versions and extra-black versions.
Amputa Bangiz Standard TTF
Original retro/grungy-typeface available to be utilized for both commercial and privates projects. It is designed by Quiccs and is also available for free downloads. Some basic non-alphanumeric characters are also included.
Serif Beta
A very legible free serif family which includes black-weights and swash-glyphs. Each font has 274 gyps. It also includes 3 fontspacks with optic weights 6, 12 and 72; overall 14 weights. It is for commercial and personal use.
Comfortaa
It is available in 3 weights: Regular, Bold and Thin. It is a legible, simple, modern typeface with 466 different characters and symbols, including European accents. It also has smooth rounded edges. Designed by Johan Aakerlund, is free for commercial and personal projects.
MOD™ font
Mod is an original font, it can be experimented with all types of graphic designs. It is perfect for T-shirts and other items like pictograms, web print, logos and motion graphics. Designed by Svetoslav Simov from Bulgaria.

Google’s Android project includes Droid font family, designed to provide optimum quality on mobile phones when rendered in application menus, screen text and web browsers. It consists of Droid Serif, Sans, and Droid Sans Mono. Each of them contains extensive character coverage, including Greek, Baltic, Cyrillic, Western Europe, Eastern Europe and Turkish support. Nilland
A beautiful slab-serif typeface consisting of 6 weights, extra bold, small caps, black, small caps bold and regular. Designed by Manfred Klein.
Junction – San-Serif Typeface
It is a humanist sans-serif typeface designed by Caroline Hadilaksono. Junction can perfectly fit the body copy like Gentium and can be best used in headlines due to its beauty, strength and balance. It has very elegant, clean and sharp glyphs, however, contains only 100 common symbols.
